College in tourism - Bansko, opened as a higher institution by an Authorisation of the 23rd National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria of 16th Oct. 2003. Its constituent is the Non-government Organisation 'Higher Balkan College', town of Bansko.
The students are trained in a Centre for Technological Education in the town of Bansko, and also in the Education and Production Facilities for Ecological and Cultural-Historic Tourism in the town of Rilla on the major subjects: ‘Organisation and Management of Tourist Services’, ‘Organisation and Management of Hotels and Restaurants’, ‘Business Administration’ and ‘Economics’. The academic lecturers are well known habilatated professors from the country and abroad.
The higher institute is fast developing and established as an academic socium, institution and ethos of its original education and scientific profile and European priorities. The college has developed partnership relations with Bulgarian and European higher schools. It trains foreign students from Macedonia, Kosovo, Poland, etc.
Vocational High School in Agriculture and Tourism - Bansko is a successor with almost 100 years tradition. The school is established in 1908 as a vocational school in household. In the years it undergoes changes in the field of agriculture, State School in Agriculture, Vocational High School in Agriculture. Today it is developed in two profiles - Agriculture and Tourism. It prepares highly qualified staff in the field of tourism on the major 'Organisation of the Hotel Industry' and in the profession 'Mountain Leader'. The high level of mastering foreign languages - English, French and Russian, along with the good practical training of the staff in the said major subjects guarantee the realisation of the pupils in the hotels of the town of Bansko.
The Vocational High School in Forestry 'Nikola Vaptsarov' - Bansko has 60 years of history record. It has prepared hundreds of specialists that have acquired their realisation in the forestry enterprises and the timber processing enterprises of the region and nation-wide. The school disposes with well-developed tangible-technical facilities: furniture workshop, workshop for primary processing of timber, workshop for wood carving, etc. The training is performed in the major subjects of 'Forestry Farm and Timber Industry', 'Forest and Hunting Enterprise', 'Production of High-Style Furniture'. In the vocational forestry high school are prepared pupils from 9th to 13th grade, in 19 classes.
Vocational High School in Electronics and Energetics - Bansko is opened in 1967. At the present moment in this school are trained 460 pupils in 22 classes, of which 18 classes with 5-year term of training, accepted after completed 8th grade on the major subjects: 'Computer Engineering and Technologies', 'Radio and Television Engineering', 'Communication Engineering', 'Electrical Household Appliances' and 4 classes with 6-year term of training after completed 7th grade on the major 'Computer Engineering and Technologies'.
Comprehensive High School 'Neophyte Rilski' - Bansko is opened in 1847 as a new Bulgarian school with first teachers Nikola Popfilipov and Dimitar Arabadjiev.
Secondary School 'St. Clement Ohridski' - village of Dobrinishte has 150 years of history record. In 1854 Stefan Palapylov and priest Tonin opened in the village monastery school. First local teacher is Daskal Mihail Popgeorgiev. In 1928 is launched the construction of the school building, which is completed in 1934.
At the present moment the Secondary School 'St. Clement Ohridski' has 15 classes in which are trained students from 1st to 8th grade.
